Happy Haunting Halloween
Highlight hallowed hallways and have fun creating a frightening or festive fall fridge. Start early to decorate for this de-light-ful holiday. Each day add another new handmade item to your home, and by Halloween night you'll be ready for knocks at the door!
Drape the Doors, Swag the Windows
Cover orange and white streamers in Halloween-themed pictures of black cats, witches, brooms, and Jack o' Lanterns, using Crayola® Washable Markers. Hang streamers from the ceiling, in open doorways, and across windows. Decorate the streamers with Crayola® Halloween Mini-Stampers. Or create a

Decorate paper bags to build a scarecrow and decorate using Crayola® Gel FX Crayons, Markers, and Metallic Crayons. Stuff the bags with crumpled newspaper. Tie bags with recycled ribbon. Cut the top part of the face bag with Crayola® Scissors to make hair. Curl it around a crayon. Parade your scarecrow along a stair banister, down a hall, across the table, or wherever it will be out of the way but in sight.
Festoon the Fridge!
Use craft paper or cut up several paper grocery bags and glue together to make a refrigerator-door size poster. There's room for the whole family to add favorite Halloween images with Crayola® Washable Markers and Crayola® Colored Pencils. Hang the poster on the fridge with magnets. Or use Model Magic to make a Halloween Scene.
Color several coffee filters with Crayola® Washable Markers. Place the filters on newspaper and spritz with water to blend colors (to look like tie-dye). Dry. Stuff the middle with half a crumpled facial tissue and gather the filter around it to make a head. Tie colorful recycled ribbon around the neck. Glue string to the top of each ghost's head with Crayola® School Glue. When dry, hang the ghost family from ribbon or yarn and drape over the curtain rod, doorway, or entrance.

Sculpt horns, hair, ears, and details with the modeling compound. Poke a hole on each side and insert elastic to hold the mask on ears. Cut out eye holes with Crayola® Scissors. Bunch up newspaper in a face shape and lay your mask on it to dry. Add color with Crayola® Washable Kid's Paint. When dry, tie elastic through the holes, and you're ready to trick-or-treat!
